Did you know that many women don’t know when their fertility peaks? It’s true – there is a lack of awareness in the general population about fertility and the speed of a woman’s biological clock.

In fact, a woman’s fertility peaks in her mid-to-late 20s.

This Spring, RMA of Southern California is offering FREE FERTILITY CONSULTATIONS to help both men and women better understand their fertility and family planning needs.

For women who are thinking of starting a family now or in the future, it’s important to know about fertility timelines and the biological clock. At RMA of Southern California, we want to empower women to ask the right questions and be as informed as possible to make decisions about their future.

During a FREE FERTILITY CONSULTATION with one of our doctors, Dr. Tom Kim or Dr. Katherine Green, patients will have the opportunity to discuss their reproductive options in a candid, compassionate environment.

Whether you are interested in fertility preservation options like egg freezing or are already trying to conceive and want to know more about treatment options like Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) or In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), RMA of Southern California physicians will go over the process with you from A to Z. No two individuals have the same reproductive needs, which is why a personalized consultation is so helpful. By discussing your history and family building plans with one of our doctors, you’ll have a better sense of what is right for you. There’s no one-size-fits-all treatment plan, and the more you know ahead of time, the better.

In addition to the free one hour fertility consult, we are also offering a discounted fertility diagnostic package. For $100, you will receive hormonal diagnostic testing, as well as an ultrasound, to even better understand your fertility and what type of care might be right for you.

The answer to this question depends on several factors. If you are interested in starting a family someday, but just aren’t ready yet, we advise patients to consider egg freezing. As a woman ages, the quantity and quality of her eggs diminish. This decline accelerates around age 35 – right as many women are hitting their stride in their professional lives. Freezing your eggs in your early- to mid-30s can give you peace of mind to wait until the time is right to start your family.

If you are already trying to conceive and have been unsuccessful for a while, it may be time to see a fertility doctor. RMA of Southern California recommends women under 35 years old who have been trying to conceive for one year without success make an appointment with Dr. Kim or Dr. Green. Women older than 35 who have been trying to conceive for six months without success should also think about making an appointment right away. Additionally, couples who have experienced recurrent miscarriages are advised to consult with one of our physicians, as there may be an underlying issue.

Regardless of your situation, there are ways to learn more about your fertility and seek care, if necessary. And at RMA of Southern California, we strive to give every patient a strong understanding of their fertility and the right tools to make informed decisions about their future. After all, information is power!
