Reproductive Surgery

Reproductive Surgery

Reproductive Surgery may occasionally be necessary in order for a woman to be able to conceive. Surgery may be recommended to remove uterine growths or damaged tissue such as polyps, fibroids or endometriosis. During your initial comprehensive consultation, your fertility doctor will perform a vaginal ultrasound and may recommend further testing to determine if reproductive surgery is needed.

There are three main types of reproductive surgery: hysteroscopy, laparscopy and myomectomy. If it is recommended that you undergo a surgery to increase your reproductive health, your fertility doctor will go over the details with you.
