The top-level award, which won in the Institutional category, recognizes the building’s technical, functional and ergonomically-sound construction, as well as its original design aesthetic.
“The entire project was approached from the perspective of patient experience and innovation, and a real emphasis was put on how the space would make patients feel,” said Dr. Jason Franasiak, RMA Marlton’s lead physician and researcher. “Fertility treatment can be stressful, so the goal was to create a warm, inviting space so patients could feel lighter from the time they walk in until the time they leave.”
The Norwood Company partnered with Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey on a 45,000 square foot patient treatment center, featuring a 3-story living wall and glass-walled atrium.
“Through perseverance and consistency, Norwood successfully delivered a high-quality facility,” added Dr. Franasiak.
RMA Marlton, located at the intersection of Routes 70 and 73, on the former site of the historic Olga’s Diner, opened in April 2019. The glassy, modern three-story building features spacious rooms, high ceilings and lots of light. Patients are seen on the top floor, the second floor houses a state-of-the-art IVF and embryology lab, and the bottom floor is being leased to third party businesses.
