A bill was recently introduced called House Bill 635, which, if passed, will require large group health plans to provide coverage for fertility diagnostic care and treatment, including up to three cycles of IVF.

IVF actually has a lower risk of multiple pregnancy compared to other fertility treatments. This is because you decide how many of the embryos are transferred into the uterus. If you transfer one embryo, there is about a 1% chance that embryo will split and lead to a twin pregnancy. Conversely, if you want to increase your chances of a multiple pregnancy, you can implant more than one.
