Dr. Simone Elder is a physician with a strong foundation in women's health and reproductive medicine. She graduated from Rice University with an Honors Thesis in Biochemistry & Cell Biology and was awarded the prestigious Gates Millennium Scholarship. Following her undergraduate studies, she explored global women’s health through programs in India, China, and South Africa.
Dr. Elder earned her medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College. She received numerous accolades, including the Gustav Seligmann Prize for Excellence in Obstetrics and Gynecology and several fellowships from the National Medical Foundation. As a senior medical student, the Association of American Medical Colleges honored her as a Franklin C. McLean NMF Scholar for her academic achievement, leadership, and service.
Dr. Elder completed her residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital—Cornell, earning a teaching award. She then completed fellowship training at the University of Colorado, receiving multiple research honors, including selection for the NIH Loan Repayment Program. She is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Now based in Colorado, she enjoys reading, skiing, exploring museums, and traveling with her family.
