Dr. Kelly M. Chacón is a reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist at Reproductive Medicine Associates (RMA) in San Diego, California. She is dedicated to helping individuals and couples build their families through compassionate, evidence-based care, and considers it her privilege to combine the incredible science of modern medicine with the opportunity to walk alongside patients during one of the most personal chapters of their lives. Dr. Chacón leads with listening: she takes the time to understand each patient's story, goals, and priorities, ensuring they feel informed, supported, and empowered throughout their care.
Dr. Chacón earned a Bachelor of Science with Distinction in the Major in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from Yale University. She received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Harvard combined program at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital. She then completed fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of California, San Diego. Throughout her training, Dr. Chacón has been committed to advancing women's health through basic science, clinical research, and health policy. Her work has been presented at national and international conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals, including Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) and the American Journal of Perinatology. She is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and board-eligible in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
Dr. Chacón cares for patients across the full spectrum of reproductive medicine, including infertility, fertility preservation, and IVF. Her clinical interests include ovulatory disorders such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), male infertility, oncofertility, and helping individuals and couples navigate the full range of family-building options. She is also passionate about expanding access to fertility care through health policy research and advocacy.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Chacón enjoys spending time with her husband and their two daughters. Together, they love exploring San Diego's beaches, traveling to new destinations, and cooking at home as a family.
