““It is a privilege to be trusted with someone’s care during such a personal and emotional journey, and I do not take that privilege lightly. I strive to make every patient feel heard, educated, and genuinely cared for, meeting them where they are and creating a plan that reflects their unique path to building a family.”
— Dr. Abigail L. Bernard
Abigail L. Bernard, MD, is a fertility specialist at Reproductive Medicine Associates in Colorado. She earned her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience with a minor in Psychology from Vanderbilt University, graduating magna cum laude, and received her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, where she graduated in the top 10% of her class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Dr. Bernard completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of North Carolina, where she served as Education Chief Resident and received the Golden Tar Heel Teaching Award for three consecutive years. She then completed her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Duke University and is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Her clinical interests include fertility preservation, optimizing fertility outcomes, patient education, and the impact of environmental exposures on reproductive health. During fellowship, she received a Charles Hammond Research Fund Award for her research on environmental influences on endometrial health.
Throughout her training, Dr. Bernard found that one of the most rewarding aspects of reproductive medicine is guiding patients through some of life's most important decisions. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized care and helping patients achieve their family-building goals.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, toddler, and golden retriever. She loves hiking, running, pickleball, traveling, and cheering on her hometown Kansas City Chiefs.
