Dr. Shefali Shastri, RMA New Jersey’s Clinical Director, and Physician Partner, is a longtime reproductive endocrinologist with RMA and has helped bring more than 2,000 babies into the world since joining the practice in 2009. She was initially inspired to pursue a career in women’s health and reproductive medicine by her mother, who practiced as an OB/GYN for over thirty years. Ultimately, the cutting-edge science and technology coupled with the strong physician-patient relationship compelled her to pursue a career in this field.

Dr. Shastri is a board-certified Reproductive Endocrinologist, Obstetrician, and Gynecologist and holds a master’s in Physiology from Georgetown University. She earned her medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She completed her residency and fellowship at New York-Presbyterian Hospital – Weill Cornell Medical Center in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Center for Reproductive Medicine and Infertility. Dr. Shastri is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists and a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.

As a physician in this field, Dr. Shastri believes everyone’s path is unique, and it is important to empower patients to make informed decisions that are right for them. She is passionate about entitling women to be proactive about their fertility and believes in providing her patients with thorough information and the most supportive clinical care. She feels honored to work at RMA New Jersey, where the entire team is deeply committed to science and innovation and is passionate about providing patients with excellent care and the best outcomes.

Dr. Shastri’s expertise covers the full range of reproductive endocrinology and infertility care, including comprehensive diagnostic evaluation, Intrauterine Insemination (IUI), and extensive experience in In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), third-party reproduction, and fertility preservation.

She is particularly interested in underlying genetic etiologies, preimplantation genetic diagnosis, and egg freezing.

Apart from English, Dr. Shastri speaks Spanish and Gujarati.
