Become an Egg Donor

Healthy women between the ages of 21 and 31, from any ethnic background, may qualify to be donors for our anonymous egg donation program. Once accepted, you may donate a maximum of six times. Each cycle takes approximately two weeks. Upon completion of each cycle, you will be compensated for your time and effort. Of course, the sense of fulfillment you'll receive from renewing someone's sense of hope is priceless.

Help Another Woman Today

At RMA, we understand that for some patients the path to pregnancy and a positive fertility experience sometimes requires a little help from another woman. It takes a special person to become an egg donor and requires a commitment of time, energy, and compassion. It is not an easy decision to make, but once you have made the decision to help another woman you will always know you have fulfilled someone’s desire to build their family.

Why Choose Egg Donation?

Although women are born with over a million eggs, only about 300 will be ovulated during their reproductive years. The inevitable decline in egg supply that comes with aging makes egg quantity, sometimes called ovarian reserve, a problem for many women. A woman’s reproductive potential also decreases with age, particularly after the age of 35.

Women with a decreased ovarian reserve at any age may be faced with the challenge of diminished egg quality. With 20% of women waiting to start a family until after age 35, egg donation may be the right path toward building a family. Finding the right donor egg is a critical first step.

Do I Qualify to Become an Egg Donor?

Egg donors are young, healthy women, between the ages of 21 and 31, from any ethnic background who have the desire to help others build a family. Once you’ve completed your initial application, the process—which includes a health screening, meeting with the Ovatures team, and eventually being matched with a recipient—can take several weeks. After being accepted into the Ovatures Egg Donation Program, you are welcome to contribute up to six times. While you will be compensated for your time, helping another woman become a mother is the best compensation. Compensation may vary from clinic to clinic.
