Andres Reig, M.D., joined the Jefferson-RMA Fellowship Program in July 2021. He is a graduate of the Medical University of Lodz, Poland. During medical school, he was given the 2012 Award for Outstanding Contributions to the University Community.
After earning his medical degree, he traveled to the United States to pursue training in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He took a position as a post-doctoral fellow in Dr. Hugh Taylor’s laboratory at Yale School of Medicine, where he conducted animal research investigating primary ovarian insufficiency. He then completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training in the Bridgeport Hospital – Yale University program, where he was the recipient of an award for medical teaching, as well as the award for Excellence in Resident Research in both 2019 and 2020.
During residency, he authored several peer-reviewed articles that have been published in the Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics, Reproductive Sciences, Current Opinion in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
He serves as an ad hoc reviewer for Reproductive Sciences and Reproduction and Fertility and is a global association of Fertility and Sterility. He has presented his research at the annual meetings of the Society for Reproductive Investigation and the American Society for Reproductive Research and was the recipient of the 2019 Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology prize paper.
