Dr. Joseph Letourneau received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, earned his medical degree at University of California, San Francisco’s (UCSF) School of Medicine, completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and returned to UCSF for his REI fellowship.
Dr. Joseph Letourneau is a fellowship‑trained REI specialist known for onco‑fertility and fertility preservation. He serves as Co‑Director of the University of Utah Onco‑Fertility Program.
He specializes in oncofertility and reproductive preservation, IVF, embryo/egg freezing, recurrent pregnancy loss, endocrine disorders, and complex infertility. An active investigator in fertility preservation and cancer survivorship, Dr. Letourneau’s research examines how chemotherapy affects ovarian and uterine function, pregnancy outcomes, and quality of life.
