“Infertility affects people in ways that aren’t always visible - but no one should face it alone.”
Shani Badnani, MSN, ARNP, WHNP-BC is a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner specializing in fertility care. An Emory University alumna, Shani earned her Master of Science in Nursing following her undergraduate studies to obtain her BSN, during which she was honored with the Award of Excellence. She later completed her advanced practice training though the Women’s Health/Gender Related Nurse Practitioner program.
Before becoming an advanced practice provider, Shani spent four years as an IVF Coordinator, supporting patients through assisted reproductive technologies, treatment planning, and fertility education. This experience fostered her deep passion for women’s health and inspired her to pursue a career where she could play a more direct role in patient care.
Shani is drawn to fertility medicine because of the meaningful relationships built through honest, personal conversations. She is committed to creating a supportive environment grounded in empathy, active listening, and validation. Having witnessed friends and loved ones experience infertility, she understands how emotionally complex and isolating the journey can be, and she strives to ensure patients feel seen, heard, and never alone.
Shani has served on the Board of Directors for Aneden Gives, helping expand access to fertility grants for families in need. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, dancing, swimming, snorkeling, building Legos, spending time with her dog, Pepper, and exploring new cultures through travel. Her childhood in Lagos, Nigeria shaped her adaptability, resilience, and appreciation for community—qualities she brings into every patient interaction.
