Introducing Dr. Kassie Bollig, MD MSCE – a passionate and accomplished fertility specialist at Reproductive Medicine Associates (RMA) in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. Dr. Bollig’s journey to becoming an infertility specialist was a path of discovery sparked by her interest in women’s health and surgery. During her early medical school days, she was exposed to the fascinating world of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) through her research mentor, Dr. Danny Schust. The complexity of the field and the unique relationships she formed with patients drew her in, solidifying her desire to pursue a career in this area.
Dr. Bollig’s dedication to research is evident through her numerous professional accomplishments and awards, including the Society of Reproductive Surgeons In-Training Award for research and the Outstanding Resident Academic Achievement Award. Her diverse research interests include biomarkers for early detection of pregnancy location and viability, hCG algorithms for predicting pregnancy viability, preconception maternal cardiovascular health and ART outcomes, and markers of ovarian reserve and fertility preservation in Turner Syndrome. Additionally, she has expertise in minimally invasive reproductive surgery.
Dr. Bollig’s educational journey has been marked by excellence, having been pre-accepted into the University of Missouri School of Medicine as a high school senior through the Bryant Scholars Program. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. She then pursued her medical education at the University of Missouri School of Medicine, where she ranked #1 in her class and graduated Summa Cum Laude. Following this, she completed her Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the same institution before moving on to the University of Pennsylvania for her Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Fellowship and Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology.

One may be surprised to learn that Dr. Bollig contemplated a career as an artist before choosing a career in medicine. Her love for painting is a passion she hopes to continue exploring in the future.
