COVID-19 Updates

RMA of Northern California is open, but operating with modified schedule during the COVID outbreak. Our patients are our highest priority.

  • We remain open on a modified schedule, and we have taken extensive measures to reduce the risk of virus transmission consistent with CDC recommendations.
  • New patient visits are all being conducted via Telemedicine.
  • Initiation of all treatment cycles is being evaluated on a case-by-case basis and with careful counseling between doctor and patient.  Some starts are being initiated under the appropriate circumstances.
  • In an effort to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus, effective immediately the following measures are required for all staff, vendors, and patients in this office:
    • All patients who enter the office must wear a mask.
    • No more than 10 patients are to be admitted to the facility at any time.
    • All patients must attend appointments unaccompanied by friends or family.
    • All patients and staff members must wash their hands with soap and water prior to entering our suite.
    • All patients and staff members are to have their temperature checked upon entering the patient care area. Anyone with a fever (>100.4 degrees Fahrenheit) will be asked to leave.
    • In patient waiting areas, patients must maintain a minimum six-foot distance from one another.
      • If there are more than 4 people in the waiting room at any given time, all subsequent patients must wait in overflow waiting rooms (labeled: Consult Room and Patient Education Room).
      • There must never be more than 2 patients in overflow waiting rooms.
      • There must never be more than 1 patient at a time in phleb area.
    • Unless two employees are working together to perform a procedure, all employees must maintain at least 6 feet of distance from one another.
    • Hand sanitizer will also be available for all patients and staff in each waiting room and in each exam room.
    • When payment is received at the front desk, it must be done in a contactless manner (by verbally entering a card number into the system, for instance).
    • High touch surfaces must be disinfected every 2 hours with Sani-Wipes.
    • No patients or staff members shall shake hands or engage in unnecessary physical contact.
    • If a patient or staff member sneezes, it must be directed into his/her elbow.
    • NO PATIENT OR STAFF MEMBER WILL BE ADMITTED TO THE OFFICE IF HE OR SHE HAS A FEVER OR COUGH.

Reproductive Medicine Associates of Northern California is San Francisco’s only fertility clinic in SOMA. We are conveniently located on Spear Street, in the heart of SOMA’s business and cultural center, not far from Mission Bay, South Beach and Embarcadero Center, making us an ideal location for area patients seeking fertility treatment.

As a global leader in fertility care, research and education, RMA offers a full range of fertility services – including In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), Intrauterine Insemination (IUI), and third party reproductive services (egg donor, sperm donor and gestational surrogacy) – to hopeful parents in San Francisco and surrounding areas. RMA’s highly-credentialed fertility specialists, Dr. Scott Morin, Dr. Jonathan Kort, and Dr. Daniel Kaser are committed to helping people from all walks of life–including aspiring single parents and members of the LGBTQ community–fulfill their dreams of starting and building a family.

RMA of Northern California’s modern facility is equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities and an in-house IVF lab, giving patients access to all necessary fertility services under one roof. Since fertility treatment requires multiple visits, this one-stop convenience, along with our central location, allows for a less stressful patient experience. In addition, we offer flexible appointment times, early morning physician ultrasounds and evening hours for first-time visits.

SOMA locals can walk, bike, BART, car share, or drive to our fertility clinic. For those coming from farther away, we are close to major highways and the San Francisco/Oakland Bay Bridge, allowing us to also serve patients from Alameda, Oakland, and surrounding areas.

RMA of Northern California is part of the RMA Network, which recently celebrated 20 years of helping build families, with over 40,000 babies delivered. RMA has helped pioneer some of the biggest research and clinical breakthroughs in reproductive medicine, as part of its mission to improve patient outcomes.

Invested in science, dedicated to excellence and inspired by patients, RMA is where life begins.
