Fertility Acupuncture
Fertility acupuncture services may not be offered at every RMA practice. Please speak with your provider at your local office for availability.
How Does Fertility Acupuncture Help?
Acupuncture can increase fertility by reducing stress, increasing blood flow to the reproductive organs and balancing the endocrine system. In addition to traditional acupuncture, we also offer needle-free laser acupuncture based on the same principles.
In a large prospective randomized controlled study conducted at RMA, laser acupuncture treatment performed pre-and-post embryo transfer during an IVF cycle resulted in a significant improvement in implantation rates compared to traditional needle acupuncture.
Local Experts
RMA works with local experts and providers of complementary medicine techniques, including acupuncture, yoga, herbal therapies, and mind & body programs. Our reproductive endocrinologists support complementary approaches and may integrate these treatment programs into a patient’s individual care.

Steven Mavros, L.OM.

Though he treats a wide variety of conditions, he has been focusing on male and female infertility since his first month of practice. RMA works with Steve and The Healing Arts Center to offer acupuncture for fertility to patients at our Wayne PA office. Acupuncture before and after fertility treatments has a multitude of benefits: increased blood flow to the uterus, reduced stress levels, and increased sperm count, to name just a few.
