Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
In 2024, the price range for a single IVF cycle in the United States falls between $14,000 and $20,000 for those without insurance coverage. Exact IVF costs depend on the treatment center, the services, and insurance coverage.
Each patient at our Orange County offices are paired with one of our financial coordinators, who will be your concierge in all things related to affording care. They will call your insurance, provide financial options, and inform you of any discount programs available.
IVF is a relatively quick process that usually takes 10-14 days. The timeline depends on a variety of factors. These include the individual patient, their response to their prescribed medication, and how the eggs develop during the process.
The state of California does not require insurance carriers to cover IVF treatment, but they do require them to offer some level of fertility treatment. Coverage typically includes physician consultation, diagnostic testing, fertility preservation, and certain genetic testing. You can find the full details on mandated IVF coverage in California at Resolve.org.
All our physicians at our Orange County offices offer IVF second opinion consultations. A second opinion consult may be valuable for patients experiencing failed IVF cycles at another fertility clinic. Contact our office if you are interested in switching fertility clinics.

Over the course of the 10-12 day stimulation phase, you will come to the office for about 3-4 quick (15-20 minutes) monitoring visits. Blood work and an ultrasound are performed to check follicular growth. We offer appointments from 7 AM to 7 PM, Monday through Saturday.
IVF actually has a lower risk of multiple pregnancy compared to other fertility treatments. This is because you decide how many of the embryos are transferred into the uterus. If you transfer one embryo, there is about a 1% chance that embryo will split and lead to a twin pregnancy. Conversely, if you want to increase your chances of a multiple pregnancy, you can implant more than one.
This is a common misconception. The IVF process simply stimulates eggs to grow and mature that would have otherwise died during a cycle. IVF does not remove all your eggs, affect your future fertility, or make you start menopause earlier.
