RMA of Northern California is open, but operating with a modified schedule during the COVID outbreak. Our patients are our highest priority.
- Our Palo Alto office is now open.
- We remain open on a modified schedule, and we have taken extensive measures to reduce the risk of virus transmission consistent with CDC recommendations.
- New patient visits are all being conducted via Telemedicine.
- Initiation of all treatment cycles is being evaluated on a case-by-case basis and with careful counseling between doctor and patient. Some starts are being initiated under the appropriate circumstances.
- In an effort to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus, effective immediately the following measures are required for all staff, vendors, and patients in this office:
- All patients who enter the office must wear a mask.
- No more than 10 patients are to be admitted to the facility at any time.
- All patients must attend appointments unaccompanied by friends or family.
- All patients and staff members must wash their hands with soap and water prior to entering our suite.
- All patients and staff members are to have their temperature checked upon entering the patient care area. Anyone with a fever (>100.4 degrees Fahrenheit) will be asked to leave.
- In patient waiting areas, patients must maintain a minimum six-foot distance from one another.
- If there are more than 4 people in the waiting room at any given time, all subsequent patients must wait in overflow waiting rooms (labeled: Consult Room and Patient Education Room).
- There must never be more than 2 patients in overflow waiting rooms.
- There must never be more than 1 patient at a time in phleb area.
- Unless two employees are working together to perform a procedure, all employees must maintain at least 6 feet of distance from one another.
- Hand sanitizer will also be available for all patients and staff in each waiting room and in each exam room.
- When payment is received at the front desk, it must be done in a contactless manner (by verbally entering a card number into the system, for instance).
- High touch surfaces must be disinfected every 2 hours with Sani-Wipes.
- No patients or staff members shall shake hands or engage in unnecessary physical contact.
- If a patient or staff member sneezes, it must be directed into his/her elbow.
- NO PATIENT OR STAFF MEMBER WILL BE ADMITTED TO THE OFFICE IF HE OR SHE HAS A FEVER OR COUGH.
