Monday, January 13th — We will be open regular business hours from 7:00-3:30 pm for morning monitoring and retrievals.

Thursday, January 9th Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the devastating wildfires in the Los Angeles area. Given the evolving situation, we wanted to share an update on our operations, how we’re navigating this situation to safely continue to support you, and how we will communicate future updates.

We understand the significant emotional, physical, and financial investment you have made into building a family and how important timing is to treatment, and we are committed to continuity of care and minimal disruption.

The good news is that our facilities are miles from the evacuation areas and undamaged and we will continue to support timely and ongoing patient treatment as long as it’s safe to do so. Details on temporary changes to our hours of operation and how we will provide support are below.

We’re also happy to report that we took proactive measures to ensure all human tissue (embryos, eggs, sperm, etc.) in our lab[s] was transported safely overnight to a secure, disaster-proof cryo storage facility outside of the danger zone. No tissue was lost or damaged. If you are actively undergoing treatment our staff will reach out to you individually to discuss your treatment plan.

To ensure the greatest safety and highest quality of service, this may include rescheduling treatment, changing the treatment location, or moving an in-person visit to telemedicine.

Additionally, some patients scheduled within the next two weeks MAY receive a call from the care team with updates, and to ensure everything is on track.

CHANGES TO OPERATIONS

  • Tomorrow—Friday, January 10 – There will be no IVF procedures, and all appointments will be moved to telemedicine.
  • We will be open 7:00-11:00 am for morning monitoring as long as it is safe for patients and our team.

If you have been impacted by the fires or do not feel safe traveling to our facility, please contact us at 424-293-8841 or socalofficemanager@ivirma.com and we will work with you to reschedule or explore other options.

FUTURE UPDATES
