Dr. Lea George is a Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellow at Jefferson-RMA, joining the program in July 2024. A native of Basking Ridge, New Jersey, she is thrilled to return to her hometown and serve her community.
Dr. George graduated magna cum laude from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and was inducted into the Alpha Epsilon Delta Premedical Honor Society. She earned her medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. During her training, she received The Gerson Weiss, M.D. Award for Excellence in Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Women’s Health.
She completed her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Rutgers Health-Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, where she was elected Administrative Chief Resident and received the Resident Research Award. Dr. George has authored peer-reviewed articles and presented research at national conferences, including the American Society of Reproductive Medicine.
Dr. George is deeply passionate about empowering patients during the emotional and stressful fertility treatment journey. Her clinical interests include fertility preservation and optimizing single embryo transfer. She values building strong, trusting relationships with her patients and is dedicated to providing compassionate care to help them achieve their family-building goals.
