Reni Mathai is a board-certified women’s health nurse practitioner and advanced practice nurse. She joined the clinical team at Eatontown and Freehold in November of 2020. Her passion in women’s health began while in nursing school, during clinicals on a labor and delivery floor. She obtained her Bachelors in Nursing and started working as a perinatal nurse in Texas, then at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Maryland, and at Monmouth Medical Center in New Jersey. Desiring to do more in healthcare for women, she graduated with her Master’s in Nursing from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 2014 and has since then worked for six years at Saint Peter’s University Hospital Women’s Ambulatory Care clinic, taking care of obstetrical patients at various stages of their reproductive life. She has been a recognized clinical preceptor to nurse practitioner students for several years and enjoys teaching and has done several presentations for residents and nurses at the clinic. She is an active member of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health.
Reni became familiar with RMA when she experienced difficulty getting pregnant a few years ago and became a patient of Dr. Molinaro’s. She reports that the care she received was beyond any other that she has ever encountered. Even during that time, she knew she wanted to give back to patients the consistent support, empathy, and attention she received. “I want to be able to show patients who are going through infertility that they are not alone. I want them to find hope when they can’t find it.” She is very excited to go from helping women in pregnancy and delivery, to help couples in their journey to parenthood.
