Dr. Hanson maintains a commitment to ongoing research within the field of reproductive endocrinology and infertility and is honored to join the team at Jefferson-RMA.
Brent M. Hanson, M.D. joined the Jefferson-RMA Fellowship Program in July 2018 as a first-year fellow. He graduated from the University of Arizona Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor of Science in Physiology and a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American Studies. He then received his M.D. from West Virginia University School of Medicine where he was awarded the Dr. Hugh Carr Scholarship for academic excellence. Dr. Hanson completed his Obstetrics & Gynecology residency training at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. There, he earned the University of Utah Resident Research Award as well as recognition for the best Grand Rounds presentation.
During his medical school and residency training, he produced several peer-reviewed articles that have been published in the Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics, Fertility & Sterility, and the American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology. He has also presented abstracts at the American Society for Reproductive Medicine Annual Meeting as well as the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Annual Meeting.
