Kasey McAteer
NURSE PRACTITIONER
MSN, APN, WHNP-BC
Jersey City, NJ
Kasey McAteer is a certified women’s health nurse practitioner. She earned a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Pennsylvania’s Women’s Health/Gender-Related Nurse Practitioner program, following a bachelor’s degree in nursing from New York University.
Kasey’s motivation to specialize in women’s health was sparked by a desire to support and empower women as well as by her background in neonatal intensive care as a registered nurse at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. “In the NICU, I supported parents undergoing extreme stress and fear. Despite this fear, I was surrounded by so much strength and hope. I had the privilege of sharing in their strength and hope, advocating for parents on the postpartum side,” she says. “Now, I have the privilege of partnering with parents on their journey to becoming pregnant. Families are created through this hope and strength, and I’m so grateful to share in it.”
Since joining RMA in 2022, Kasey values that she can continue educating and advocating for patients every step of the way. She was also inspired by RMA’s reputation for providing excellent clinical care and conducting cutting-edge research. “RMA goes above and beyond to support patients, providing patient-centered care with incredible fertility breakthroughs. They’re at the forefront of fertility research, and I feel so lucky to be part of an institution with such a strong dedication to providing exceptional, personalized reproductive healthcare.”
During her downtime, Kasey enjoys spending time with family and friends and taking her “super” mutt, Laney, to the dog park. But over the summer, “you can find me at the beach with a good book!”
“I wanted to become a women’s health nurse practitioner to advocate for women and help them better understand their bodies. I don’t want a woman to ever feel betrayed by her body or be kept in the dark about her own healthcare.”
