Our providers are people too
Emre U. Seli, MD, is Chief Scientific Officer at IVIRMA Global and Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Seli received his medical degree from the University of Istanbul and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Yale University. His postdoctoral training included a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, as well as a research fellowship in molecular biology, both at Yale University.
In 2017, Dr. Seli joined IVIRMA as head of scientific research just after RMA joined forces with IVI, Europe’s biggest In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) provider. He oversees cutting-edge research into ovarian rejuvenation, gene editing, laboratory science, genetic embryo testing, cryobiology, endometrial synchrony, aging and rejuvenation, stem cells, epigenetics, reproductive disorders, immunology, psychology, surgery and more.
While Dr. Seli continues to teach and see patients at Yale, he spends most of his week at RMA’s Basking Ridge clinic seeing patients, educating RMA’s REI fellows and conducting research that could drastically change care for future patients.
“I’m proud of the research network we’ve built here,” said Dr. Seli. “We have more than 70 investigators, more than 60 clinical centers, and four basic science laboratories. This is a very well-funded, hard-working and highly productive group. I’m honored to be part of this incredible physician team.”
